Wow! Another month has passed and we are beginning a new month. So many exciting things to look forward to! At least that is the way I am looking at things.
Sarah is still dealing with this health issue. Her IV treatment had to be postponed several times because the lab messed up getting a test completed. Then, when it finally came back the results were inconclusive so she had to have a chest x-ray done. Hopefully, the treatment can start this coming week. The wound she has is healing nicely, though, so that is good!
Alex is growing like a weed! He is getting so tall...he will catch up with Sarah soon! I have been his 'substitute' teacher some the last few weeks while Sarah is on the mend. The other day, he informed me that his Mom doesn't make him do certain work the way I wanted him to do it. I asked him, "Do I look like your Mom?" He replied, "Well, actually you kinda do and since you are so much nicer than she is, I didn't think you would make me do this work either." He still did the work! That sounds just like his Uncle Travis...he always tried to 'sweet talk' his way out of assignments. Alex is doing very well with his school work and becoming a very nice young man.
Travis has made a few changes in his life. He moved into a beautiful downtown apartment last fall. He is changing jobs. He leaves his current job this coming week and will start a new job later this month. He also announced that he and Brandi plan to get married later this year. He gave her a beautiful engagement ring earlier this week. He seems really happy and excited about his future!
Allen is working the Austin territory now and is really enjoying his work. He is itching to do some fishing though...especially with the warm weather we have had. He has started doing some wood carvings again and enjoys that.
We are still looking for a house to move to in the Pflugerville/Round Rock area and hope to be able to move sometime next month. We have cleaned out a lot of 'stuff' from the garage...Allen still has some things to go through. I am going to start packing things this next week. We already have a lot packed but I am going to get busy with the rest of our stuff. Once we find a house, we will have most everything packed and ready to go. I hate living with so many boxes around and it will only get worse in the next few weeks but I keep reminding myself that in just a few weeks, we will be settled into a new house, in a new area, ready for new adventures! I am not really sure why, but I am really excited to be making this move! I have read a lot of great things about both Pflugerville and Round Rock...they are both very family oriented areas with lots of kid-friendly things to do and since Sarah and Alex will be moving with us, I think we will fit right in whichever place we go!
Sarah and I are still working with our crafts for Crimson Cactus and will be participating in a craft show in Boerne, TX on the 5th of April. We also have another show in the works for this summer and one in the fall. Together with our website, these shows should keep us pretty busy. It is amazing to see all the places around the country we get orders from. Even several other countries.
So that pretty much sums up what we are doing and plan to do in the near future. We have lots more things planned for later this spring and summer and even a few things already planned for this fall so I will keep you updated here. Drop me a line and let me know what you have going on in your life! Better yet, if you are in the area, drop by and visit a while!
