Exploring

With the moves behind us now we have been doing a little exploring on the weekends. We checked out Boerne, TX and Fredericksburg, TX both of which are awesome towns. We also went to Gruene, TX and New Braunfels, TX...again, awesome places. They are all close by (2 hour drive at the most) and all have market possibilities for a craft business like Sarah and I have, so we are excited about the possibilities. This past Saturday, we drove down to Corpus Christi with Sarah and Keith and Alex so Alex could check out the beach. He loved it! He had a grand time playing in the water and is looking forward to some camping weekends there! We tried to get my parents to ride down with us but Mom said she was too tired to ride that long and Dad didn't want to miss any of the NCAA basketball games so they agreed to take a rain check and go another time.

We have also visited an Eastern Star Chapter here. Everyone was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The only down side is that it is located on the other side of town from us but the people we met would make it well worth the drive over! We still want to visit with some of the other Chapters in town but we were certainly impressed with our first visit. I have a list of the April meetings in the area for us to check out. I think Allen and Keith may do some visiting with some of the Lodges, too.

We are also planning to do some exploring at some of the area State Parks and check out some campgrounds. We have managed to come up with excuses not to camp for way too long now. I'm looking forward to some nice relaxing weekends away from computers and cell phones (at least for the most part).
