Happy September!

The month started with our 36th wedding anniversary! That is a lot of years! Then, on the 2nd, I had to have another biopsy done on the cancer in my lungs and another CT scan. The doctor called late Wednesday to let us know that the CT scan showed that the cancer spots were 'significantly smaller' so it appears that the trial medication is working! Praise God for answered prayers!! It has been a very long summer...finding out the cancer had returned in my lungs...being told I probably have 4 to 6 months to live...the first chemo treatment didn't work and the cancer had gotten larger...waiting to find out if I could be part of a clinical trial...getting into the trial but having reactions. There has certainly been a roller coaster of emotions since May...not just for me but for the whole family. There are still not certainties in any of this but the new treatment is working...at least for now so I am very thankful. To God, for hearing my prayers. To all of my friends and family that have been so kind and supportive and for the hundreds of prayers that have been said on my behalf. To Dr. Kaklamani and the staff at CTRC in San Antonio for their encouragement that there is something out there that will help me. They are all so kind when I am there. Thank you, thank you, thank you all from the bottom of my heart!! I love you all!
